It was a little flight lie.A woman realized every employee’s worst nightmare after she called in sick to catch a flight, only to run into her boss on the plane.She detailed getting “boss-ted” in a video with over 780,000 views on TikTok.“Me taking a sick day from work only to end up on the same plane as my manager,” Grace, 23, wrote in the caption of the incriminating clip.Accompanying footage shows Grace grimacing before cutting to a screenshot of blurred out messages between her and her boss, who is also pictured in the video with their face obscured.The freelancer, who divides her time between Europe and her hometown of Bali, Indonesia, had reportedly needed to return to her motherland, Newsweek reported.

So the fibber informed her employers that she had a doctor’s appointment on that day, and would need to switch her work day, which was subsequently agreed upon.Unfortunately, her attempt at “quiet vacationing” backfired spectacularly after she ran into her supervisor while boarding the aircraft.

“Long story short, I was waiting in the line and then I saw a familiar face coming to me which called my name,” Grace recalled, noting that her boss also often stays in Bali.The boss was quick to ridicule her attempt to play hooky.Upon recognizing her, the bemused manager quipped, “Oh, so this is hospital?” The TikTok commentariat was mortified over her unlucky encounter with one writing, “I would throw myself off of the plane, not gonna lie.”“I’d cry like a baby and give my resignation letter,” said another.Fortunately, despite Grace’s initial shock, the pair ended up “laughing together” and “talking all the way to the airplane,” she said.
