Grad student suffers severe burns after using hair removal cream on his genitals to spice up his sex life

A man was left with chemical burns following an allergic reaction to hair removal cream – in a bid to tame his pubic hairs to spice up his sex life.Nate Hill, 39, agreed to use hair removal cream on his pubic hair after his partner suggested it might spice things up in the bedroom.But things went downhill when, less than a minute after applying the cream, the veteran felt a burning sensation.He claims the pain was worse than when he was burnt with hydraulic fuel while moving things around his RAF base years ago.The neuroscience masters student, from Kirkby, Liverpool, washed it off immediately but was left with a blistered, sore groin for weeks after.Ironically, in a far cry from improving their sex life, the chemical burns left Nate and his then-partner on a total sex ban until he had healed.The dad-of-two said: “I had my leg amputated in October 2022, and things had stagnated between us in the bedroom after that.“My then-partner suggested we spice things up, and I was game so we watched porn together.“He commented he’d like it if I had less body hair – I thought ‘hair grows back, why not?’.“I followed all the instructions but when I applied the cream I felt this horrible burning sensation.“I washed it straight off but I was in pain for days after – Sudocrem, ice packs and frozen peas were my best friends.”Nate said, despite using a cream specifically for ‘sensitive’ skin, the reaction resulted in blisters that made his skin peel for over a week after – and he was constantly reapplying Sudocrem.The incident has left him with permanent discoloration in his groin area.He also said the hair grew back with missing patches “as if some of the follicles had been burnt away” – and to this day the hair hasn’t grown the same as before.He added: “It was really bad – I pretty much slapped him on a sex ban after that.”...
