Marcus Stroman has home run regrets after latest shaky Yankees start

Marcus Stroman was shaky for the fourth time in his last six starts and was again hurt by the home run in Thursday’s 8-4 loss to the Reds at the Stadium.Stroman regretted what he said was a slider on the outside part of the plate that Spencer Steer hit into the right-field seats for a three-run homer in the fifth inning. The right-hander had given up a pair of solo home runs, and not much else, until that point — but it continued a poor run by the once-standout rotation.“I’ve got to be better in that fifth and give us a chance there,’’ Stroman said.“I was one pitch away from keeping it to two runs.
