Trump challenges Biden to no holds barred presidential debate: Prove his competence or lack thereof

Former President Donald Trump challenged President Biden to another presidential debate — this time with fewer rules and no moderators — where Biden can prove his “competence or lack thereof.”The 78-year-old presumptive GOP presidential nominee called for the “no holds barred” debate in a post on Truth Social Thursday afternoon, a week after Biden’s first debacle.“I have the answer to the Crooked Joe Biden Incompetence Puzzle — Let’s do another Debate, but this time, no holds barred,” Trump said in a post.“An all-on discussion, with just the two of us on stage, talking about the future of our Country.”Trump suggested the proposed debate’s ratings would “blow everything away,” over the new format even after the first debate, hosted by CNN, reeled in 47.9 million viewers.The proposed new rules would be a back-and-forth affair between the two political rivals, a drastic change from the ones they had agreed to a week prior, which was co-moderated by CNN hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.During the first debate, each candidate only had 2 minutes per answer, followed by one minute of rebuttals and their microphones were turned off when they ran out of time, or while the other was speaking.Trump, 78, claimed his format would allow Biden, 81, to explain the many policies he has enacted during his first term have been seen as bad for the American people.
