Kendrick Lamar has been named the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show.The news was announced Sunday by the NFL, Roc Nation and Apple Music.Lamar, 37, confirmed the announcement on Instagram, as well.“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date.
And I’ll be there to remind the world why.They got the right one,” the rapper said in a statement, according to Billboard.The 2025 Super Bowl will take place Feb.
9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.It will air on Fox.
The halftime show is sponsored by Apple Music and produced by JAY-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation.“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” JAY-Z, 54.said in a statement.

Dre and Mary J.Blige.While Lamar hasn’t released a new album since 2022’s “Mr.
Morale & the Big Steppers,” he did have a big year in music thanks to his infamous rap battle with Drake.Lamar’s diss track, “Not Like Us,” was one of the biggest songs of 2024.It spent two non-consecutive weeks atop the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.The music video to the song was released on the 4th of July.
