Tennessee Rep. Mark Greens daughter calls out dad amid affair accusations, divorce

Rep.Mark Green’s daughter is grieving “the loss of the person that we thought was our father” as the family navigates the aftermath of the lawmaker’s affair allegations.“My dad sells himself in politics as being a Christian, conservative family man,” Catherine Green told the Nashville Banner.

“His actions in the last, whatever, year have not been that.”Green (R-Tenn.) was accused last month by his wife, Camilla “Camie” Green, of cheating on her with a woman 27 years younger than him, whom she called a “predator.”Camie claimed Green was “having an affair with a 32-year-old woman” in a group text sent to lawmakers on Sept.11, according to the message reviewed by The Post.Catherine Green claims her father’s affair began last fall but wasn’t discovered until the politician’s brother found a letter from the woman on his desk.Rep.

Green initially denied the allegations until the family discovered “additional evidence” at the family home in Montgomery County.“Over the last year and a half, two years, we’ve really noticed a difference in him.So who knows if that’s just the toxic environment that is D.C., but something has changed,” Catherine told the outlet.

“We’ve all had to basically grieve the loss of the person that we thought was our father.”The frustrated daughter said her father had increasingly become “self-centered” and aloof, saying he showed a lack of communication and disinterest in family activities over Christmas.Camie Green landed in hot water after her message misidentified her husband’s lover as a reporter at the political news outlet, Axios.She received a cease-and-desist letter from Axios’ in-house counsel that called the claim “false and per se defamatory,” as the outlet called for a follow-up message to amend the mistake.“Your message has not only caused this reporter considerable emotional distress, it has harmed her professional reputation,” Axios content counsel Brian Westley ...
