The Jets defense might have a different man in the middle Thursday night against the Patriots.Linebacker C.J.Mosley was officially listed as questionable on Wednesday. He has not participated in the limited practices the Jets have had this week due to a toe injury he suffered in Tennessee.

Jets coach Robert Saleh indicated Tuesday that Mosley may go through a pregame workout to see if he can play.If Mosley is unavailable, Jamien Sherwood will start in his place and be the defensive player with the speaker in his helmet to take the calls from the coaches.Sherwood filled in Sunday against the Titans after Mosley went down in the first half.“Super comfortable with Jamien,” Saleh said.

“He’s done a phenomenal job developing as a professional football player.Full confidence in him to call the defense, make the checks that need to be made.

He’s got elite mental speed and elite communication skills, so not worried about him playing ball at all.”The Jets other injury news was positive.Cornerbacks D.J.
