Violent NYC stabbing between men who met on Grindr leaves one dead, another seriously hurt: sources

The Upper East Side stabbing that left one man dead and another seriously wounded on Sunday stemmed from a violent feud between the pair, who met on Grindr, law enforcement sources said.A 27-year-old man had invited another man from the gay dating app over to his apartment inside a five-story rental building on East 95th Street near Second Avenue around 1:30 p.m.when the visitor suddenly blurted out, “I hate all people,” the sources said. The unidentified attacker then allegedly pulled out a knife and started stabbing the unsuspecting apartment dweller throughout his body, the sources said. The resident, in turn, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the aggressor in the chest and neck, according to the sources.Police found the visitor unconscious and unresponsive.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.The 27-year-old man, who suffered multiple lacerations, was listed in serious but stable condition at Weill Cornell Medical Center, the sources said. It’s unclear whether he will be arrested or if his alleged actions will be chalked up to self-defense, the sources said. Two knives were recovered at the scene, according to cops.The investigation is ongoing, police said....
