Accomplice captured in murder of man whose body parts were scattered in Bronx, Yonkers: cops

An alleged accomplice in the murder of a man whose chopped-up body parts were found in the Bronx and Yonkers was captured Tuesday – as prosecutors revealed more details about the gruesome crime.Ronei Harris, 18, was busted by the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force along with NYPD cops as she checked out of a motel along the New England Thruway in the Bronx around 4:30 p.m., police and sources said.Harris was slapped with several charges, including murder, in the slaying of Lutalo Henderson, whose dismembered remains were discovered in a crockpot inside a Bronx apartment and in a burning shopping cart in Yonkers, cops said.The arrest of the Bronx resident comes days after ex-con Muhammad Aadil was picked up by police for the same grisly murder.

Aadil, 40, and Harris allegedly killed Henderson after a dispute erupted between Aadil and the 46-year-old victim in the Bronx home they shared, prosecutors revealed Tuesday.The alleged killers cut off Henderson’s legs below the knees, his hands and even removed his jaw, the district attorney’s office said.

The torso was wrapped up in trash bags.“The defendants allegedly killed and mutilated a man, and then took some remains, in a shopping cart, on a Metro North train to Yonkers where they burned the cart,” Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark said in a statement.

“This was brutal disregard for a human being.”Aadil was arraigned on Monday on charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, concealment of human corpse, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office said.Harris was charged with murder, manslaughter, concealment of a human corpse, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a controlled substance, the NYPD said.A gun and drugs were found during the search of the Bronx home where the body parts were located, police previously said.Harris is expected to be arraigned at a later date, prosecutors said.Police did not disclose the relationship between the two murder suspects.Aa...
