Terry Bradshaws bizarre accent befuddles Fox NFL cohosts

Terry Bradshaw’s colleagues weren’t buying it.During “Fox NFL Sunday” before Week 4, Bradshaw was talking about Andy Dalton drawing his second consecutive start for the Carolina Panthers and facing his former team, the Cincinnati Bengals.Bradshaw, 76, did so in what he’d go on to describe as a “Carolina” accent, causing the Fox crew to scratch their heads.“Well that’s the question everybody’s asking right now,” Bradshaw began with the accent.“Down in Carolina, Andy Dalton will be facing his former team, the Bengals.

And I don’t think anyone predicted what he did last week, 300 yards and three touchdown passes.”Howie Long interjected, wondering if Bradshaw, a Louisiana native, was attempting to do a Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken accent, while Michael Strahan said the Hall of Fame quarterback sounded like Rosco P.Coltrane, the sheriff from “The Dukes of Hazzard.”Viewers were also perplexed by Bradshaw’s attempt at the accent.“C’mon Terry, the people of North Carolina have suffered enough this week,” one X user wrote in response to Awful Announcing’s video of the moment, referring to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene.“Terry Bradshaw Sounded like Forrest Gump- I’ve lived in NC for 25 years- I’ve never heard anyone sound like that,” another X user replied.This isn’t the first time this season Bradshaw mystified his colleagues.Back in Week 1, at the beginning of the pregame show, Bradshaw was trying to express his joy about being back with the crew for a new NFL season.“I haven’t been this excited since my aunt taught me how to play spin the bottle,” Bradshaw said then.
