The Seattle Police Department has somehow lost nearly two dozen guns in the last eight years — and nobody knows where they went.The disturbing revelation — which is now being investigated by the Office of the Washington State Auditor — came after the Seattle cops conducted an internal audit of the missing weapons in August, according to NPR affiliate KUOW.“We’re going to do our best to ensure that we do better,” Patrick Michaud, a department spokesperson, told the outlet.“Until we find them, we’re going to keep looking for them.”Many of the 23 vanished firearms — some of which have been missing since 2017 — belong to training units, the department’s firing range or individual officers, the report said.
