Devin Singletary suddenly becoming unexpected Giants injury concern

Devin Singletary has never experienced this in his NFL career. The Giants running back did not practice on Wednesday due to a groin injury he suffered during the team’s 20-15 loss to the Cowboys Thursday night. So, with stud rookie receiver Malik Nabers’ status for Sunday already in doubt with a concussion, the Giants might not even be able to find any solace in their run game.Singletary said there’s a “chance” he can play on Sunday, though he also said it’s a “tricky injury” that he could make worse. In his sixth season in the NFL, Singletary has not missed a single game since his rookie year. And he hasn’t been particularly close to missing any, either.Until this week.“It was never close enough, never even a thought like I’m not going to be able to play the next game,” Singletary told The Post after practice on Wednesday.

Both are dealing with calf injuries and neither played in Thursday’s loss.Edge rusher Brian Burns (groin) and Wan’Dale Robinson (heel) were limited in practice. The Giants will be reminded of one of their more brutal draft misses on Sunday in Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross.Seattle drafted Cross just two picks (No.9 overall) after the Giants selected tackle Evan Neal with the No.

7 pick in the 2022 draft.Cross owns an 84.3 overall grade from Pro Football Focus — eighth-best among all tackles in the NFL...
