Wendy Williams says it’s “about time” Sean “Diddy” Combs is thrown in jail as the disgraced rapper is locked up without bail ahead of his trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.The former TV personality, 60, spoke out about the disgraced music mogul — someone she has publicly feuded with for many years — in an interview with the Daily Mail.Williams said she had allegedly known about the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper’s behavior for a while.“What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it,'” she told the outlet.“Including some people from my family who have said the same.”Addressing the viral 2016 video of Combs viciously assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway, Williams said the footage was nothing short of “horrific.”“You know how I feel about that? It is about time,” she said.
“To see this video on TV of [Ventura] getting pummeled… it was just horrific.But now you have to think, ‘How many more times? How many people? How many more women?’ It’s just so horrible.”Williams’ feelings for Combs have been laid bare since she accused the billionaire of “single-handedly” ruining her career by getting her fired from her popular Hot 97 show in 1998.Combs faces a minimum of 15 years in prison after being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and fraud.On Tuesday, lawyers said that more than 100 victims — including one who was 9 years old at the time — are expected to file lawsuits against Combs for alleged sexual abuse and exploitation in cases that will expose “many powerful people.”The complaints by 120 accusers were roughly split evenly by gender, included 25 minors and spanned over 30 years.Combs appeared in Manhattan federal court where he pleaded not guilty.
