Suni Lee still fuming over Olympics feud with ex-USA teammate MyKayla Skinner

Suni Lee is still not happy about comments from her former Olympics gymnastics teammate MyKayla Skinner.Skinner questioned in July, before the Olympics, the depth and work ethic of the women’s gymnastics team beyond Simone Biles.

Lee made it clear that the comments still stung in an interview with Glamour.“We have a lot of love for her, but it’s frustrating to see her put us down because she knows, basically, about every single thing that we’ve all been through,” Lee told the outlet.“It was more annoying because of all the things that I’ve been through,” she continued.Skinner, a silver medalist during the Tokyo Olympics, made her comments in a since-deleted video on YouTube shortly after the women’s gymnastics roster was announced in July.“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be,” Skinner said at the time.

“The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”Biles immediately took issue with her former teammate’s remarks.“Not everyone needs a mic and a platform,” Biles wrote on Threads.Lee also entered the fray at the time, with a since-deleted comment of her own.“Put a finger down if Simone Biles just ended you,” Lee wrote.
