Deshaun Watson reaches settlement with latest sexual assault accuser

Deshaun Watson settled the latest civil lawsuit against him alleging sexual assault, according to multiple reports. The latest allegation came last month stemming from an alleged incident that had occurred in 2020 while the unnamed plaintiff was on a date with the Browns quarterback. “We have now resolved our client’s claim with Deshaun Watson,” the alleged victim’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, told Cleveland.com.“The settlement is confidential.”The lawsuit was seeking $1 million in damages, according to the filing in September. Buzbee has now represented 24 women who have made sexual assault or misconduct allegations against the quarterback, with all ending in settlements.Watson, 29, released a strong denial at the time through his attorney, Rusty Hardin. “Deshaun strongly denies the allegations in the Jane Doe lawsuit filed Monday,” Hardin said in a statement.

“We have asked him to not comment further while the matter works its way through the courts, but are comfortable he will ultimately be vindicated. “We will be ready to defend this case in court at the appropriate time, but don’t intend to conduct our defense in the media.We would ask that people be patient while the legal process runs its course.
