Mets belt out OMG in bonkers champagne celebration after thrilling NLDS win

Fifteen years after Citi Field opened, the Mets finally got their chance to celebrate a playoff-clinching win on their home turf.And they made the most of it.

After beating the rival Phillies with a come-from-behind 4-1 win on Wednesday night to take the NLDS in four games, the Mets began the party in the clubhouse — and even went back onto the field — as they imbibed plenty of adult beverages while spraying the rest around.In the middle of the celebration, infielder Jose Iglesias’ song “OMG” blared inside the locker room, with goggle-covered players singing along in raucous fashion.

Francisco Lindor, the hero of the game with a go-ahead grand slam in the sixth inning, was seen spraying a bottle of bubbly around after hitting one of the biggest homers of the season for the ballclub.Owner Steve Cohen and his family joined in on the fun too, with the Mets boss posing for pictures with an “OMG” sign.In photos captured by The Post, the Mets were seen bringing the party back onto the field, as outfielder Starling Marte was seen spraying some fans that remained at the home ballpark near the first-base dugout.Outfielder Jesse Winker took it a step further and puffed on a celebratory cigar.Manager Carlos Mendoza, much like he did after clinching a playoff spot and after the wild-card series, gave another speech to the team to commemorate the victory.

He wanted his players to thank their families, behind-the-scenes folks and the fans.“Francisco Lindor calls it ‘Mets Nation.’ Guess what? We believe, you need to continue to believe — let’s go!” he said before the Mets players, coaches an staff opened up bottles.The Mets now await to see who they will face in the NLDS, the Padres or Dodgers....
