Russell Wilson is ready to ride at full strength.The Steelers quarterback was listed as a full participant in Wednesday’s practice following a calf issue that kept him sidelined for the first five weeks of the season.In the absence of Wilson, whom the Steelers signed to a one-year deal this offseason after his pricey Broncos breakup, Pittsburgh moved forward with ex-Bears quarterback Justin Fields under center.The Steelers got off to a hot 3-0 start with the former first-round pick — who was acquired in March after a trade with Chicago — but the team has dropped its past two games, most recently Sunday’s 20-17 loss to the Cowboys at home.Although Wilson, 35, was named the starting quarterback entering the season, it remains to be seen if the Steelers will make a switch at the position.Head coach Mike Tomlin will likely look at how the nine-time Pro Bowler fares in practice as the Steelers’ website noted Wilson took the second-team reps Wednesday while Fields, 25, rolls with the starting snaps.“Until Russ gets to a point where we’re comfortable with what we’re looking at, he’s able to execute all schematics, he’s able to put together back-to-back consecutive days and so forth, I just think that’s a hypothetical conversation,” Tomlin said, per Steelers.com.

“We’re going to continue to push forward with Justin until those things are legitimate, and then we’ll make decisions accordingly.”Wilson saw limited action in the preseason and did not toss any touchdowns.He threw 26 touchdowns against eight interceptions last year, his final season in Denver.Through five games this season, Fields has thrown five touchdowns and one interception while completing 67.6 percent of his passes.He has also rushed for three scores.The Raiders host the Steelers on Sunday afternoon....
