Thieves attack man sleeping in NYC subway station and leave him beaten and bloody over $95

Two thieves woke up a homeless man sleeping in the subway then clocked him and left him covered in blood on Thursday – all for $95 in cash, cops and sources said.The 70-year-old man was snoozing inside the No.6 Bleecker Street station in NoHo when two brutes roused him awake and demanded money around 5 a.m., according to authorities.When he refused to fork it over, the accused robbers allegedly punched him in the head and kicked him multiple times before snatching $95 from his pocket.They then fled the station, authorities said.

The elderly victim — who was left with a gnarly, blood-covered face — reported the incident at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall subway station.EMTs wrapped a bandage around his head before taking him to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.His attackers were still in the wind as of Thursday afternoon.Additional reporting by Joe Marino...
