Yankees shower ALDS villain Jazz Chisholm with boos and bubbly

The Yankees poked fun at the cold reception that Jazz Chisholm Jr.got from the Kansas City crowd during their champagne celebration after punching their ticket to the ALCS. The Yanks knocked off the Royals on Thursday night in Game 4 in a 3-1 win, and inside the clubhouse, teammates doused Chisholm in champagne while booing him — a nod to the jeers Royals fans had been giving him while at bat in the series — which was something that the trade deadline acquisition loved.“Oh, we love it,” Chisholm could be heard saying in a video posted by MLB. Chisholm, when asking about the heated moment in the game that saw the benches clear on both sides, called out the Royals’ Maikel Garcia for his hard slide on Anthony Volpe.

“I just felt like he tried to go and injure Volpe because he was being a sore loser,” Chisholm said.“He was talking a lot on Instagram and Twitter and stuff.
