Spell casting Kentucky woman arrested for abuse of a corpse, cooking body parts in a pot: cops

A Kentucky woman who had been “casting spells” was arrested by police after they found a dismembered and partially cooked body at her home.Torilena Fields, 32, of Mount Olivet, was busted Wednesday after cops found body parts in a mattress in her backyard and in a pot that was “warm to the touch” in her kitchen oven, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported, citing authorities.She was charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and obstructing governmental operations, Kentucky State Police said in a press release.

Cops arrived at Fields’ home after receiving a concerning call from a maintenance worker hired by Torilena’s mother, Trudy, who is the property owner.That worker told police that he couldn’t get inside the house when he arrived Wednesday morning.

When he walked around to the back, he was shocked to see a dismembered corpse in the yard, according to the report.He told cops he feared the remains were those of Fields.

The maintenance man told investigators he and Trudy had a confrontation with Fields on Tuesday.The accused corpse desecrator began “casting spells” and acted aggressive during the man’s visit the day before the arrest.Cops arrived in the afternoon, but Fields didn’t show her face until 11 p.m.
