NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds: Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams in two-horse race

One-third of the way through the NFL season, Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams are locked in a tight Offensive Rookie of the Year race. The pair of first-year quarterbacks are sitting in the top two on most major sportsbooks’ odds boards for the award — and it’s not particularly close. Daniels, who is off to a historic start for the Commanders, is currently a -190 favorite to win the award at FanDuel Sportsbook. Williams, who is being overshadowed by his peer in Washington, D.C., despite a strong first six games of his NFL career, isn’t far behind at +155. Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is 14/1 — but no other player is better than 40/1 to win the award. Leading the Commanders to a surprising 4-2 start, Daniels is putting up eye-popping numbers. Through six games, he’s thrown for 1,404 yards with six touchdowns, two interceptions and a league-best 75.3 completion rate. Daniels has also been excellent on the ground, rushing for four touchdowns and 322 yards. Amazingly, Williams isn’t far behind. He has 1,317 yards through the air and nine touchdown passes, although he’s thrown more interceptions (5) and has a much lower completion rate (65.3). The Bears are off to a good start as well, sitting at 4-2 heading into their bye week. As the No.
