Kamala Harris Fox News interview: Letters to the Editor Oct. 18, 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview on Fox News was extremely disappointing for anybody hoping to find out what her positions are on the most critical issues Americans are facing (“Baier claws Kamala,” Oct.17).She spent the majority of her time with Bret Baier essentially filibustering, saying virtually nothing about what she would do as president (except follow the law).

She continued to preach to us about how dangerous former President Donald Trump would be to our democracy, despite his successful first term.Larry HootnickWater MillBaier was too deferential to Harris.He could have buried her on immigration and the border but failed to draw blood, allowing her to say that Trump killed the bill instead of taking accountability.He could have gotten her on her flawed Middle East policy, which has emboldened Iran, but he swung and missed.

There were many openings, but Bret fired few punches.This enabled Kamala to fly off as the winner (kind of).

He and the Fox News audience had set such a low bar for the veep to reach that she soared over it.Fredrick BeondoRichmond HillHarris’ interview with Bret Baier was nothing if not predictable.She tried to talk louder than Brett and shut him up with her terse answers.

She put him on the spot by trying to make him look like a bully if he interrupted.She didn’t give one good answer about how many illegal immigrants she and her boss let into our country.She didn’t answer on taxpayers funding sex-change operations for incarcerated migrants.Asked about how she overlooked President Biden’s cognitive impairment, she immediately turned it against Trump, saying he was unfit for office.
