Yankees legend Derek Jeter could only take so much of the lovable mascots of his former crosstown rivals – leading to an awkward moment during the Fox Sports postgame show.Mr.and Mrs.

Mets joined the Fox crew with Kevin Burkhardt, Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz and Jeter down the third baseline at Citi Field following the Mets’ 12-6 win over the Dodgers in Game 5 of the NLCS on Friday night.The awkwardness began with Ortiz’s comments toward the duo, specifically Mrs.Met. “My girl’s here.

Come over here honey,” the former Red Sox great said before giving Mrs.Met a hug and a kiss on the cheek.He didn’t stop there after Mr.

Met came over to jokingly confront him.“See Kevin when you win everything is shareable,” Ortiz said, stunning a laughing Burkhardt and Rodrigez.“I just make that up, everything is shareable.”“Is this a love triangle?” Burkhardt replied as Ortiz began to walk away with Mrs.

Met.“I think this is a show for another network.”Jeter, who won five World Series with the Yankees, including the 2000 Subway Series against the Mets,  appeared to be having a good time before that point.But he quickly began organizing his note cards.The former Yankees captain then tapped them on the desk and stoically got up as Mr.

Met sat next to him in Ortiz’s chair and began acting as if her was talking on the air.Jeter did give one brief look back at the whole situation.  “The wheels are coming off,” a laughing Rodriguez said to sum up what just happened.The wheels had appeared to be coming off the Mets’ season, but they rode an early three-run homer from Pete Alonso to a convincing victory to trim the Dodgers’ series lead to 3-2.They will look to force a winner-take-all Game 7 with Sean Manaea taking the Hill in Game 6 back in Los Angeles on Sunday....
