It doesn’t mean she can viciously attack a cop and get away with it.”Jerry Goldfeder, a campaign attorney for Zhuang, characterized Actum as helping the campaign with “public relations,” but declined to specify the work they did.Zhuang was charged with assault and resisting arrest in the bloody incident, which was caught on camera.

This week, dozens of Zhuang supporters waved signs and cheered for the lawmaker outside Brooklyn Supreme Court after she left a hearing in the criminal case, The City reported.The conservative Dem, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, also set up a controversial defense fund to help her take in donations that would defray her legal costs. The fund, however, has received no donations, according to the lawmaker’s disclosure released this week....
