Freddie Freeman makes World Series history as Yankees killer blasts another homer

New Yankees killer Freddie Freeman has done it again.Freeman crushed a 2-1 pitch from Yankees starter Luis Gil into the right field seats for a two-run homer, giving the Dodgers a 2-0 first-inning lead in Game 4 of the World Series.

The first baseman has now homered in six straight World Series games, a new Fall Classic record.Freeman almost seemed to relish the role as he rounded the bases with an emphatic celebration, only to be greeted by his teammates once he crossed home with a few choreographed celebrations on the way to the dugout. This seems all too familiar these days. Freeman homered in both Games 5 and 6 of the 2021 World Series as a member of the Braves against the Astros.

The corner infielder did not have an extra-base hit in the NLDS or NLCS, but he’s been torching the Bronx Bombers in the World Series....
