A motorcycle-riding, gun-toting duo ripped off more than $25,000 in jewelry in a string of violent Bronx crimes last month, cops said. Footage released by the NYPD late Thursday shows the two masked suspects – who are accused of six robberies spanning from Oct.8 to 22 – hopping on a single motorcycle with green rims and speeding off. The pair first approached a 54-year-old man on Grand Concourse near Rockwood Street at about 2 p.m.
Oct.8 and repeatedly punched him in the head and face, cops said. They then snatched two necklaces and a bracelet, worth $6,350 in total, police said. Then around 11:15 a.m.
Oct.18, the duo allegedly rolled up to a 38-year-old man on Randall Avenue near Tiffany Street and flashed a gun, cops said. One of the suspects pistol-whipped the victim before grabbing his necklace and rings, worth about $6,600, authorities said. About 15 minutes later, the motorcycle riders targeted a 31-year-old man on River Avenue near East 165th Street – about a block from Yankee Stadium, cops said. They pulled a gun on the victim before yanking his necklace, worth about $3,300, according to authorities.Fifteen more minutes passed before the muggers set upon a 48-year-old man on Williamsbridge Road near Lydig Avenue – bashing him in the head with a gun and robbing him of his $3,000 necklace, police said. The pair targeted their youngest victim, a 17-year-old boy, around 11 a.m.
Oct.22, authorities said. They drove up to the teen on East 167th Street near Gerard Avenue, where one of them whipped out a gun and stole two necklaces, worth about $2,500 in total, cops said. The teen fought back, prompting the robber to fire off a single round from his gun – but the victim was not hit, authorities said. Around 12:20 p.m.
