2 in North America; last year, it was ranked No.1 on the continent.The Lower East Side spot, also known for its fried chicken sandwiches, has a casual front room that is walk-in only and a back room that takes reservations, which open six days ahead at midnight.“True to its name, Double Chicken Please offers a double dose of innovative concepts,” the judges wrote, adding that in the back room is where the “cocktail wizardry comes to life.” In addition to what the 50 Best panel described as “a cocktail list grounded in earthy, herbal flavors,” the 24-seat bar at Overstory, located on the 64th floor of an Art Deco skyscraper on Pine Street, is known for wraparound views of the New York City skyline.
