Hoboken City Council President Jen Giattino has died suddenly Tuesday after serving more than a decade in office, New Jersey officials said.She was 53.Giattino’s tragic death was announced by Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla, who remembered his colleague as a “bright light” and dedicated public servant.“Her kindness, humility, and quiet determination made her a cherished figure whose impact will be felt for generations to come,” Bhalla wrote in a statement Tuesday evening.“There are no words to describe the sense of loss we are all feeling.“Jen was a leader in our community and fighter for all of us.”It wasn’t immediately clear how Giattino died.
