HBO responds to rumor that Euphoria Season 3 is canceled

HBO has spoken out about the future of “Euphoria.”Over the weekend, there were reports that the teen drama series starring Zendaya was canceled after two seasons.However, HBO shut down those rumors in a statement to The Independent.“Euphoria is going in to production in 2025,” a rep for the network said.“Nothing has changed,” they added.The Post has reached out to HBO for comment.“Euphoria” has been on a long-hiatus since its second season finished airing in February 2022.

The series originally debuted in 2019.The show faced initial delays due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists strikes in Hollywood.There was also scheduling conflicts among the star-studded cast which, in addition to Zendaya, includes Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Storm Reid and Colman Domingo.During the show’s hiatus, star Angus Cloud died in July 2023 at the age of 25.His death was ruled an accidental overdose due to the combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepine.But earlier this year, HBO confirmed that “Euphoria” Season 3 will begin production in January 2025, with all principal cast members set to reprise their roles.
