A group campaigning for Kamala Harris served union workers in Wisconsin an “insulting” lunch — possibly put together by “prison labor” — as it made their 2024 pitch for the vice president last month, a tradesman told The Post. The uninspiring meal — consisting of a “single-slice-of-ham sandwich” on “stale” store-brand bread, a bag of chips and a “tiny apple” — was accompanied by an uninspiring speech, bashing President-elect Donald Trump, that workers building a $1 billion Microsoft data center in Racine County were subjected to on Oct.21. “I mean, it’s not like we were expecting a steak dinner, but even sandwiches or barbecue — barbecue is like the favorite thing on construction sites — wouldn’t have felt so insulting,” a self-described “proud union member,” who sat through the lunch and campaign pitch and asked that his name not be published, told The Post. The union member does not recall the exact group making the pitch but believes it was an out-of-state ironworkers union “most likely funded” by the Harris campaign. “As I opened my lunch, a man started to speak on a microphone to the 400 workers in the break area … basically said, ‘OK, because we bought all of you lunch, you have to listen to us,’” the union worker previously told Milwaukee radio show host Dan O’Donnell about the experience.  “’Trump blah blah blah, screwed over the union workers that built his casino in Atlantic City,’” was the “gist” of the pitch, he added, noting that several of his colleagues threw their lunches in the trash The union worker told The Post that during the sad lunch, “a co-worker told me that he was working at Racine County Correctional … close to this job site … and he witnessed the inmates making those exact lunches for the other inmates.” “I’ll just say it, the whole stunt was as ironic as it was pathetic,” he said. When asked about the contrast between the brown bag lunch and ...
