Fighting Mike Tyson wasn’t betting on himself enough — Jake Paul is literally wagering it all this weekend. The “Problem Child” promised to wager a silly amount on himself for Friday’s bout: his entire $40 million purse as a sizable betting favorite when challenged by co-main event female fighter, Katie Taylor.Fighters were asked to predict who would win, Paul or Tyson, to which Taylor, along with the majority of the stage, answered Tyson.“How much do you want to bet?” Paul replied.“Do you want to bet your purse?” Taylor said.
“Yeah, let’s bet the purse,” Paul said, without hesitation, offering a handshake to Taylor.“Deal.”Paul previously said at a pre-fight press conference, “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend.” Taylor is set to make $6.1 million, according to the Irish Mirror, while Tyson is slated to make $20 million. It is highly unlikely that a bet like this ever comes to fruition, although in a vacuum, Taylor is wagering her $6.1 million check at odds around +650 for Tyson to win.
