Eagles fans couldn’t help but troll the Giants after Saquon Barkley’s electric night in a 26-18 win over the Commanders on Thursday night.Barkley — who signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with Philadelphia after six seasons with the Giants in March — rushed for 146 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns to extend the Eagles’ lead in the NFC East.During Barkley’s postgame interview with Amazon, host Charissa Thompson paused the star running back as Eagles faithful chanted, “Thank you, Giants!” Barkley’s smile said it all.
“I’m gonna stop you for a second,” Thompson said.“I’m gonna let the crowd take this one.
You guys listen at home.They are saying, ‘Thank you, Giants.'” Barkley recorded 198 scrimmage yards — 146 rushing on 26 carries and 52 receiving on two receptions — en route to the Eagles’ sixth straight win.
He scored two touchdowns 20 seconds apart — with a Jayden Daniels’ interception squeezed in between — in the fourth quarter to turn a 12-10 Eagles lead into a 16-point advantage.It was his third game with 100 yards rushing this season.
