The billionaire founder and former CEO of Uber has something new to deliver: New York City’s most expensive rental residence.But it comes with a catch.Travis Kalanick’s downtown penthouse duplex is on the market — unofficially — for a staggering $150,000 a month.

Located at 565 Broome St., the massive full-floor spread has not been publicly listed for rent, a move known as a “whisper listing.” That said, its mighty monthly ask would appear to make it the city’s most expensive pad that a deep-pocketed tenant can rent, according to StreetEasy records.In second place, publicly listed and asking $140,000 per month, is a three-bedroom residence furnished by the late Thierry Despont at 815 Fifth Ave., StreetEasy also shows.In Soho, this palatial pad comes with its own pool on the roof of the tallest building in the neighborhood — a 30-story curved, glass-walled tower built in 2016 by Pritzker Prize-winning Italian starchitect Renzo Piano, who also designed the Whitney Museum of Art in the Meatpacking District not far away. Kalanick bought the four-bedroom, 4½-bathroom home for $36.5 million in 2019, the same year he sold a reported 90% of his Uber shares for $2.5 billion. At 6,655 square feet, the penthouse comes with three terraces total, and panoramic city views. A private elevator landing opens to a foyer that leads to a great room with 16-foot-high ceilings, a library, a wet bar and two terraces overlooking Soho.
