LOADINGERROR LOADING“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic on Thursday declared that Rep.Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) is “getting a lot of attention for her bullshit politics” by spotting key contradictions in the congresswoman’s push to pass an anti-trans bill.Mace recently introduced a bill that would ban trans women from using the women’s bathroom on Capitol Hill, a move that comes roughly two weeks after Rep.-elect Sarah McBride (D-Del.) became the first openly trans person elected to Congress.Advertisement Lydic argued that Mace’s anti-trans campaign is “performative” before turning to a recent clip of the Republican telling reporters she knows “how vulnerable women and girls are in private spaces.”“Yes, of course, you just want to protect women from hypothetical predators.

and Donald Trump flashed on the screen. The four men have all been accused of some form of sexual misconduct and, after Gaetz withdrew from consideration to be the president-elect’s attorney general, both Kennedy and Hegseth remain up for positions in Trump’s cabinet.“If Donald Trump nominated Bill Cosby, Nancy Mace would be walking in circles in an ugly ’80s sweater eating a pudding pop,” Lydic joked.Advertisement Earlier in the program, Lydic mocked Mace for her cringey “biological” adjustment above a women’s bathroom sign before noting who “would not be happy” with the congresswoman’s anti-trans crusade. In 2021, Mace told the Washington Examiner that she “strongly” supports LGBTQ rights and equality before adding that “no one should be discriminated against.”“Hmm.
Wonder what changed?” Lydic said.“I guess the biggest transition was Nancy Mace wanting to identify as the center of attention. We Need Your SupportOther news outlets hav...
