Elton John reveals hes blind in his right eye after infection: I cant see anything

Elton John is giving an update on his vision problems.The EGOT winner, 77, revealed in an interview with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” on Monday that he can’t see out of his right eye after developing an infection over the summer, which has affected his ability to make new music.“It’s been a while since I’ve done anything.I just have to get off my backside,” John said.“I unfortunately lost my eye sight in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the South of France,” the music superstar continued.

“It’s been four months now since I haven’t been able to see.My left eye is not the greatest.”“There’s hope and encouragement that it will be okay,” John went on, “but I’m kind of stuck in the moment, because I can do something like this, but going into the studio and recording, I don’t know.

Because I can’t see a lyric for start.”The “Rocket Man” singer said he’s “taking an initiative” to treat his eye problems and that “it’s never fortunate for anything like this to happen.”“It kind of floored me, and I can’t see anything.I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything,” he explained.Despite his struggles, John called himself “the luckiest man in the world” during the interview, which he did to promote his upcoming documentary “Elton John: Never Too Late.”“I’m so proud of the documentary.

I’m proud of my sons.I’m proud of my attitude towards myself and what’s going on,” he said.

“I’m just very lucky and I’m very grateful.”The documentary, directed by R.J.Cutler and John’s husband, David Furnish, explores the legendary performer’s 50-year career leading up to his final North American show at Dodger Stadium in 2022.
