So some Democrats are threatening to defy the deportation of illegal immigrants, including ones who have committed crimes (“Denver Dem vows to shield migrants,” Nov.23).Do they understand what a sanctuary city was supposed to be? It’s supposed to be: If you have a crime committed against you, you would not be deported for reporting the crime.They have morphed this into protecting the people actually committing the crimes.So these mayors and governors who order their citizens and their police forces to not cooperate are actually obstructing the federal law.Federal supremacy is the law of the land, and these people should be charged with obstruction of justice.This is not a moral issue.

This is a legal issue.Those who obstruct federal law enforcement should personally pay the consequences, just like any other citizen.
