Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirm separate solo events in NYC and LA

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to attend separate events on opposite sides of the country next week as they continue to experiment with their new brand image strategy.The Duke of Sussex, 40, is gearing up to jet to New York City next week to attend the New York Times’ DealBook conference on Wednesday, a spokesperson told People. That evening, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, will attend the Paley Honors Fall Gala in Los Angeles, Calif., the outlet adds.At the glitzy event, the “Suits” alum is expected to present her close friend Tyler Perry with the Paley Honors Award — The Paley Center for Media’s most coveted honor.Both Harry and Markle were on the hosting committee, however, the former actress will be the only one in attendance, the outlet added.The Post has reached out to reps for the Sussexes for comment.The Sussexes boast a close friendship with the filmmaker after he famously allowed them to stay in his $18 million Los Angeles mansion after they quit royal life and moved across the pond in 2020.Perry is the godfather to their daughter, Princess Lilibet.As for Harry’s dash to the Big Apple, the duke is picking up the baton from his wife following her appearance at the New York Times DealBook Online Summit in November 2021.That year, the “Suits” alum took part in a conversation with Andrew Ross Sorkin called “Minding the Gap” about how women can reach equal pay.Harry’s NYC trip comes just two months after he was last in the Big Apple, having attended a string of events as part of the UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week.Markle notably stayed in Montecito with their two children as Harry was involved in engagements with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.The duke famously received additional security following his and Markle’s “near catastrophic” paparazzi car chase through Manhattan in May 2023.The couple’s separate, bicoastal appearances next week showcase their so-called new “...
