Justin Tuckers missed kicks continue in tough season for Ravens kicker

Justin Tucker’s season continues to get worse. On Sunday, the once-guaranteed leg of Tucker missed three kicks in the Ravens’ loss to the Eagles and raised his misses to a new career-high of eight. Tucker missed an extra point and two field goals in the third quarter in what ended up being a 24-19 loss at M&T Bank Stadium. While the situation for Tucker has not been great, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Tucker is “definitely capable of making every kick.… Nobody wants to make those kicks more than Justin.”“If you’re asking me are we going to move on from Justin Tucker, I’m not really planning on doing that right now,” Harbaugh later said, according to Mike Garafolo. The first missed kick came on a first-quarter extra point with the Ravens up 9-0.  The seemingly easy kick hit off the field goal post, making an emphatic noise as it did. “He’s been automatic his entire career.

You know Harbaugh still trusts him but it’s getting later and later in the year.I think he’ll figure it out but it’s getting close,” Tony Romo said on the broadcast.In the third quarter, things got worse as Tucker missed a 47-yard field goal attempt and then a 53-yard attempt on the very next drive. He missed the 53-yard attempt wide right as the Ravens trailed 19-14 with 1:21 left in the third quarter. “Instead of 19-14 with the extra point and the 2 field goals, Philly with the lead.

That is concerning as it gets later in the year if I’m a Ravens fan,” Romo opined after the second missed kick. The Ravens are headed into a bye week next week and Harbaugh told reporters after the game that the team would get most of the week off....
