The New York-based model who was abducted with her family at gunpoint was held for 12 hours in a shack crawling with scorpions and snakes, according to a new report.Luciana Curtis, 47, was snatched with her husband, Henrique Gendre, and their 11-year-old child as they left a restaurant in Sao Paulo’s posh Alto do Lapa neighborhood last Wednesday by armed crooks who forced them to transfer cash and stole their $33,000 SUV, according to cops.The Brazilian-born model and her family were then held captive overnight in a shack with only a mattress, a toilet and a sink — and the scary snakes and scorpions, according to NewsX.The gang transferred money from the couple’s bank accounts and stole their GWM Havaal SUV — worth an estimated $33,000 — before freeing the captive family early Thursday, the Daily Beast said.

Cops are still hunting for the suspects — and plan to charge them with kidnapping, extortion and robbery, the outlet said.Curtis, who was born in Sao Paulo, is the daughter of British businessman Malcolm Leo Curtis.

She lives in New York but splits time between Sao Paulo and London.The model, who won the Brazilian final of Supermodel of the World in 1993, has graced the covers of Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan magazines.She has modeled, too, for the likes of Harrods, H&M and Victoria’s SecretPolice are investigating a car found charred in the Vila Penteado region of Sao Paulo to see if it was the car stolen from Luciana and her husband, the NewsX reported.No arrests have been made yet, but police say they plan on charging those who abducted the family with kidnapping, extortion, and robbery after they are identified and arrested, the outlet said.
