He was fatally struck by a horse after saving young ranch hand Carter (Finn Little).Richards, 36, took to Instagram to mourn the death of his character that he played since the show’s first season in 2018.The actor shared a picture of his on-set chair with his name on it.Colby’s signature attire, including his white cowboy hat and black boots, were also in the photo.“Grateful #yellowstone,” Richards captioned his post.On his Instagram Stories, Richards shared several posts that honored Colby, including one from a Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) fan account that said, “RIP Colby you’ll be missed.”Richards also reposted a tribute from his co-star Jennifer Landon, who plays Colby’s girlfriend Teeter.Landon, 41, shared a photo of the pair in Montana where the show films.
