A T.J.Maxx security guard was knifed in the face when he tried to stop a group of female robbers from leaving the Brooklyn store during a brazen shoplifting spree, according to police sources. The three thieves allegedly snatched $243 worth of clothing and shoes off the racks inside the Midwood store around 2:17 p.m.
on Sunday before bolting for the door, police said. When the 33-year-old guard attempted to catch and stop them, one of the robbers allegedly whipped out a knife and slashed him in the right side of his head, according to the sources. The trio then fled the East 15th Street retailer.The guard was taken to Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital in stable condition. “That’s crazy,” a T.J.Maxx worker said about the slashing while adding shoplifting is a common occurrence at the store. “It’s like regular people that come here,” the employee said, referring to thieves.
