Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is waiting to make his jump to the NFL.The 20-year-old is returning to the Nittany Lions in 2025, which prompted backup Beau Pribula to enter the transfer portal ahead of the team’s CFP game against SMU on Saturday.The star quarterback has seen his draft stock rise from a potential second-round pick to a potential top 10 first-round pick “This season has been the most fun I’ve ever had in my entire life playing football and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished as a team,” Allar said in a post on X.“I know there’s still more work to do which is why I look forward to making more memories with my teammates this year and beyond.

Pribula, who has had a role in the team’s offense this season seemingly was given a heads up about this decision as he entered the transfer portal on Sunday, realizing he wasn’t going to compete for the starting quarterback role.“We got problems in college football, and I can give you my word Beau Pribula did not want to leave our program, and he did not want to leave our program until the end of the season,” Penn State coach James Franklin told reporters Monday.
