Rainn Wilson can’t believe his eyes after a fire destroyed a large portion of his home.“The Office” alum, 58, recently gave his followers a look at the damage from the blaze that “almost burned down” his California residence in the Ventura County mountain fire last month.Wilson maintained a positive attitude while reflecting on the incident, stating that their property was “very severely damaged, but we got to keep our home,” which is more than what some of their neighbors could say.He praised his wife, Holiday Reinhorn, for making sure their animals and beloved pigs, Amy and Snorty, made it out safely.“We are some of the luckiest people in Ventura County.

The Mountain fire was absolutely devastating and two of our closest neighbors completely lost their houses,” Wilson wrote in an Instagram post on Nov.11.“@HolidayReinhorn evacuated our pigs and various animals With some help from our assistant Lisa, and our handyman Scott, who happened to be there installing some new door knobs,” he explained.

Wilson later added that they “have a newfound appreciation and respect for the power and devastation of these wildfires” and asked for “prayers for the good Venturans devastated by this terrible event.”In an updated post on his official “Soul Boom” podcast account from Friday, Dec.13, Wilson walked through his charred home and showed the damage.

“Well, this is not something I ever thought that I’d be doing,” Wilson said on camera while flashing “the remains of my bedroom and my closet and my bathroom.”“There’s some kind of valuable lesson here.I’m not sure what it is,” he said.
