Actress Diane Delano, known for her work on the TV series “Northern Exposure,” has died.She was 67.
A rep for the late star confirmed Delano’s death to The Post on Monday.TMZ was first to report the news.
Delano passed away at her home in Los Angeles on Friday following a brief illness.Her official cause of death has not been released.
The actress played Sergeant Barbara Semanski on “Northern Exposure,” which ran from 1990 until 1995.She had numerous other TV credits including “Popular,” “Days of Our Lives,” “St.
Elsewhere,” “L.A.Law” “Perfect Strangers,” “Married…With Children,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Monk,” “NCIS” and “Two and a Half Men.” In the movies, Delano was known for her roles in “The Wickerman” (2006), starring Nicholas Cage, “Jeepers Creepers 2” (2003) and “The Ladykillers” (2003), opposite Tom Hanks.
Born on Jan.29, 1957 in Los Angeles, she attended Canoga Park High School before graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AMDA) in 1980.
