Over 10,000 pounds of pork products recalled due to health hazard

The U.S.Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a high-risk warning on more than 10,000 pounds of pork products across four states in two separate recalls.Baltimore-based Impero Foods & Meats, Inc.

is recalling approximately 7,485 pounds of raw pork sausage products that were produced “without the benefit of federal inspection,” the USDA announced Friday.FSIS had received notice that products were being produced at a facility that had a suspended grant of inspection.FSIS conducted surveillance and determined that the Old World Italian Sausage links and ropes were not inspected by FSIS, prompting the recall.The items affected were produced from October 3, 2024, through December 19, 2024, and contain the establishment number “EST.
