Jerry Jones and the Cowboys started the season with Super Bowl aspirations — and are ending it by getting viciously heckled by Eagles fans.Cowboys brass and Jones were seen sitting in a luxury box at Lincoln Financial Field during the Cowboys-Eagles game on Sunday when fans looked up and saw the billionaire owner in the box and screamed, “Dallas sucks,” at him from all sides and even neighboring luxury boxes.Other fans are turned around screaming and gesturing towards him, with one loud, boisterous fan yelling, “You suck.”Jones, 82, appeared to be putting on his best poker face as the unwanted attention came with his squad getting absolutely crushed by the Eagles, 41-7, and their backup quarterback, Kenny Pickett.
The Cowboys (7-9) are in the midst of a tough season where they’ve fallen far below expectations.After the game, Jones told 105.3 The Fan that an Eagles fan told him to “keep doing the job you’re doing this year.”Another video surfaced of Jones on the field prior to the game with Eagles fans sharing some faux admiration.
“We love you, Jerry.We love you,” off-camera Eagles fans can be seen saying to Jones as he smiles and tries to be a good sport about it.
“I know you do,” Jones said.“I’m trying to live up to my standard this year for you.” Last week, Jones went to the locker room to embrace coach Mike McCarthy and applaud his team’s effort in a win over the Buccaneers.
