Female prison guard who admitted to having sex with inmate in recorded cell romp learns her fate

The married female British prison guard who was filmed having sex with an inmate in his cell was sentenced to 15 months behind bars Monday.Linda De Sousa Abreu, a 30-year-old mom, pleaded guilty to having sex with criminal Linton Weirich multiple times at London’s Wandsworth prison, with one of the acts caught in a raunchy video that went viral in June.

Andrew Davy, the governor of Wandsworth, slammed Abreu at her sentencing for having degraded her position in “less than a day” and causing other female guards at the prison to be increasingly “hit on” by inmates who think they are “fair game,” the BBC reported.“You engaged in sexual activity with a prisoner,” Judge Martin Edmunds KC told Abreu, who also runs an OnlyFans account.“That compromised your role as an officer and was misconduct which undermines discipline within the prison and puts fellow officers at increased risk.” Abreu, wearing a gray suit and white shirt, remained silent during the sentencing hearing.

Prosecutors said Abreu, a mother of one, violated her position at the prison by having sex with Weirich — a felon booked for an $82,000 luxury goods heist in Kensington — between June 26 and 28.The acts were recorded on Abreu’s prison-issued body-worn camera, as well as by an inmate who uploaded the video to social media as he boasted, “This is how we live at Wandsworth, bruv.”Abreu also admitted to having “oral sex” with another inmate on the same day she was recorded having sex with Weirich, The Guardian reports.

“You participated with evident enthusiasm,” the judge noted.A Prison Service rep said Abreu’s arrest and conviction serve as a warning to any other prison staffers who may be breaking the law.

“While the overwhelming majority of Prison Service staff are hardworking and honest, we’re catching more of the small minority who break the rules by bolstering our Counter Corruption Unit and strengthening our vetting processes,” the office said in...
