Kate Middleton will have a slow start to the year, according to a new report. The Princess of Wales, who turns 43 Thursday, will ease into 2025 by taking on a fraction of the public-facing duties that she would typically have on her calendar.Sources told the Daily Mail that the mom of three “simply won’t be going back to work in the same way as before” her cancer diagnosis, which she revealed to the world in March 2024.What’s more, Princess Catherine’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will remain her top priority this year, insiders add.Currently, the princess’ diary does not include any full-scale foreign tours, and it will be a while before she returns to the royal fold in full — given that her cancer recovery remains on track.Still, royal fans can expect to see the beloved royal attend key events in the royal calendar, such as the Trooping the Colour ceremony, which is her “number one priority” among royal engagements. The Waleses have faced a difficult 2024 after Middleton received her diagnosis following a planned abdominal surgery last January. The princess subsequently spent much of the past year behind closed doors as she underwent treatment, prompting William to reduce his workload and spend more time at home. After Middleton announced that she’s cancer-free, the duo have made a gradual return to public-facing duties.Insiders told the outlet that Middleton has been hands-on when it comes to the pair’s three children, often lending a land at their sports events, and doing the daily school drop offs and pick ups.“It’s about pace,” a source said.“I think she would also prefer to confirm only when she is certain she can attend events, rather than get anyone’s hopes up and then have to pull out.”The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
