2025 is the year of niche.As the entertainment landscape continues to fracture, music, sports and comedy fans’ tastes splinter and grow more and more refined.Gone are the days where everybody watched three TV stations and listened exclusively to Top 40 radio.
Nowadays, we all know exactly what we like.Madison Square Garden is embracing this cultural shift as evidenced by their impressively curated lineup of headliners and events — that cater to specific audiences’ tastes — booked at the venue from January through September this year.There’s a little something for the rave crowd (Dom Dolla on March 7-8), WWE crew (Monday Night RAW on March 10), metalheads (Disturbed on March 21), bluesy Southern rock fans (Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats on March 27) and goofy comedy aficionados (Tom Segura on March 29).And that’s just March.Later in 2025, the Knicks, Rangers and St.John’s men’s basketball venue are bringing in heavy hitters that aren’t quite as niche as the acts booked in the first half of the year.
Household names like Weird Al (July 12), Tyler, The Creator (July 14-15), Gracie Abrams (July 28-29), Tate McRae (Sept.3-4) and Dua Lipa (Sept.
