“You start thinking about all the memories and the different parts of the house and whatnot and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around and your heart just breaks,” he told CBS Evening News on Thursday.After the duo fled, they watched on security cameras as flames engulfed their home.“I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real, this is happening,’” the “Gilmore Girls” alum told the outlet.“And at a certain point, we just turned it off.What good is it to continue watching? We kind of accepted the loss.”The pair, who wed in 2023, grabbed ”everything they could think of” before leaving for refuge.
